The non-teaching French major requires the completion of 36 hours and a choice between two content areas, Literature and Culture or Linguistics and Culture.

Literature and Culture content area
Students focusing on the Literature and Culture content area must take 36 hours beyond 1000-level to include And one 5000-level literature or culture course.
The following courses cannot be counted toward the major:
FREN 2750, 4000, 4010, 5000, 5010, LANG 3750 Linguistics and Culture content area
