GEOS 5270 - Principles of Well Drilling and Installation An introduction to hollow-stem auger drilling and well installation, rotary drilling with mud and air, cable tool drilling, monitoring well design, sample collection and description; cuttings, split spoon, and Shelby tube, borehole geophysics, and installation and development of wells.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: GEOS 5120
Credits: 1 hour
