HIST 3531 - Early Christianity This course explores the emergence of Christianity in the Roman world, and traces its spread and influence in medieval Europe. Students will consider the world of early Christianity, the development of the Church as an institution and community, and issues of church doctrine and discipline.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: (HIST 1900 or HIST 2900) with a grade of “C” or better, or instructor approval.
Credits: 3 hours
Notes: The course requires varied writing assignments and is designated a 3000-level writing intensive course in the Department of History.
