PHYS 3090 - Introductory Modern Physics


This course, with PHYS 2050/2060 and PHYS 2070/2080, completes the sequence making up the introductory courses in physics with calculus. Topics include special relativity, quantum physics, and atomic, nuclear, and solid state physics. This course consists of three lectures per week.

Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: PHYS 2070 and MATH 2300 or MATH 2720.  A grade of “C” or better is required to satisfy any course prerequisite.

Credits: 3 hours
