ED 3090 - Educational Psychology of Early Childhood This course will develop an understanding of how children learn, from birth through early adolescence. Emphasis will be placed on the learning styles of young children, aged 0 through 9. Emphasis will be placed on major learning theories, on the growth of positive self-concepts, and on the cognitive styles of these age levels. Students will examine the effects of cultural and gender differences and of discrimination on learning.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: Admission to the Early Childhood Professional Education minor.
Credits: 3 hours
