MUS 5890 - Topics in Ethnomusicology This topics course examines various methods, problems, and issues in ethnomusicological writing and research. Topics will vary and be announced each semester. The approach taken in the course reflects current practice in the field of ethnomusicology, drawing upon theoretical writings in a variety of disciplines including ethnomusicology, musicology, anthropology, theater, cultural studies, and women’s studies. May be repeated for credit with different topics.
Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: Consent of instructor for non-music majors.
Credits: 3 hours
