MUS 3210 - Keyboard Skills for Singers


A course designed to concentrate on piano skills necessary for vocal and Elementary Education/Music (EEM) majors. The course will include accompanying techniques, harmonization using secondary dominants, transposition, open-score reading, sight-reading of melodies while improvising accompaniments, and improvisation using blues progression and scales.

Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: MUS 3200 with a grade of “C” or better or instructor approval.

Credits: 1 hour
