Recreation Major (122 hours)

The Recreation major is designed to prepare students to assume leadership and/or administrative roles in public, non-profit, private, or commercial recreation agencies and organizations. The hours of electives within this course of study allow the student flexibility in preparing for a specific emphasis in recreation. Students will also complete a supervised internship.

Additional Information

Recreation majors and minors may choose to participate in the American Humanics certificate program. This program is designed to prepare students for leadership in nonprofit organizations. Students qualify for the certificate by taking courses in their major and minor that meet the American Humanics competency requirements, by taking the required American Humanics courses, and by meeting the American Humanics extracurricular requirements.
